- May 2003 UniNet was selected by the UN ICT Taskforce as a “Best practices Case study” for their WiFi for development initiative.
- July 2003 UniNet’s founders were invited to present their work at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, for the “WiFi for development initiative”.
- In August 2003 the UniNet’s case study was published by the UN ICT Taskforce book entitled “The Wireless Internet opportunity for Developing Countries”.
- December 2003 UniNet invited and sponsored by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) to present at the first phase of World Summit of the Information Society (WSIS), in Geneva.
- Wireless Internet Institute (W2i) Digital Cities Convention in Spain invites UniNet to present the case study of Knysna’s broadband deployment in 2004.
- November 2005 UniNet presents at the Second Phase of the World Summit (WSIS) summit in Tunis.
- September 2006, UniNet presents "Knysna, The First Completely Wi-Fi covered Town in Africa" at iWeek.

- April 2008, Uninet presents at the 6th Digital Africa Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, entitled "Next Generation Convergence Driving Positive Change".
- October 2008, Uninet presents at Seminar entitled "Accelerating service delivery through Public Private Partnerships (PPPs)" in South Africa
- October 2008, UniNet presents and displays the Knysna project at the Mozambican National ICT Convention.
- May 2009, UniNet is invited to participate at Digital Africa Summit entitled "Convergence & Innovation Excellence Driving Positive Change" in Uganda.
